My "new" Chairs!

I am not crafty. or handy. but my friends are crafty and my dad is handy; which means I now have "new" kitchen chairs! Woohoo! My super crafty friend, Melissa, gave me a fabric scrap that I LOVED and it matched the colors of our house perfectly; so I went and purchased more of it. Then my dad came over and recovered my kitchen chairs for me. We have talked about getting a new kitchen table; but there is just something I love about ours and I have not been able to part with it. With new chairs covered (and cleaned!) its ridiculous how much better I think my kitchen looks. We are thinking about doing the same fabric/cornice bored above the window/curtains...what do you think?

  1. Oh. My. Goodness!!!!! They look FANTASTIC!! You need to scotch guard them now with a house full of boys. My MIL will love them too, since she bought me the scrap of inspiration fabric. I love them!

  4. WOW!!! I love them!! And yes, I think a cornice would look amazing. I can help you with that if you'd like! I've made two of them and they are relatively easy. Tiff gave me the original inspiration. See you tomorrow

  5. Ok you are TOTALLY inspiring me :) If one Mama-of-two-boys can get crafty with home projects...so can I :) It was so, so GREAT to spend time with you and your boys while we were in Shelbyville. And just like Sherri-I'll be calling on you for inspiration as I stumble through this exciting adventure of mothering two boys!!!

  6. The new fabric on your dining chairs is definitely a big upgrade from before! You’re right; it does go great with the color of the walls! It’s a good thing that craftiness and handiness runs in your family and you were all able to come up with these great-looking chairs!
