Hometown Visit

Peace out! wiped out after a looong day!

Yesterday Chris, Caden, Charlie and I went to Grayson County, Chris's hometown, to visit with friends and family. We had such a great time! We left Louisville around 9am and did not get home until midnight...we took the boys five different places yesterday (no nap for Caden included) and they were perfect angels:) Of course, I left my camera at the second stop we made so dont have pictures of our visit with Chris's mom, stepdad, sister-in-law and our nieces and nephew or pictures of our visit with Poppy (Rick) and Memaw (Jill) and Jakob. It was an awesome day and SO good to see everyone...here are a few pics:

Man of the House

Chris left this morning to go to Canada until Sunday night for one of his best friends wedding. YIKES! Four days without daddy and without my best friend...this is actually the longest we have been apart since we have been married and it just happens to be that we have a one week old=) Thankfully I have an AMAZING family and will be staying with them this weekend. I am; however, happy to report that Caden has really stepped it up as "man of the house." He is loving on his baby bro, picking up his messes and throwing away Charlie's dirty diapers...yep, I am in good hands:)

Kellie

One of the reasons I was so excited that Caden was having a little brother is because of the relationships I have with my younger sisters (and brother). No, we havent always been close and yes, we all still have our "moments" but I dont know what I would do without them. It is SO good to live so close to family. They were a HUGE help when Caden was born but have been an even bigger help since Charlie came. One of my biggest worries about Charlie being born was how it would affect Caden. I was worried about him staying on some type of schedule, being around familiar people and just being loved on a little extra. I have to say that having my sister, Kellie home has completely eased my fears. Caden LOVES her and she is, well, she is obsessed with him:) The past week she has taken him to the pool, taken him to feed the ducks, given him icees, been patient with him, and just loooveeed on him. She has also, helped with Charlie, cleaned my house and been constant company.
This post and the next few will be about each member of my family because I am SO SO grateful for each one of them
